Abstract:
The present MA Paper aims to develop vocabulary building activities for EEC students. An open-ended interview specifically designed to collect data from EEC teachers was conducted to find out the need for extra vocabulary building activities. The results of the survey showed that text book vocabulary building exercises were not sufficient to activate this vocabulary in speech. The activities designed to supplement the need for extra vocabulary practice were taken from different online sources and adapted taking into consideration the teachers’ opinions. As a result, a package of activities for “English in Mind 1” was created which is currently available in a separate folder in EEC teachers’ web site.
