dc.description.abstract The use of video materials in the field of teaching English as a foreign language has been widely common. In recent years, videoconferencing-based learning platforms have been enhanced with interactive video tools which allow the learner to shift from a passive viewer to an active participant. This study aimed to investigate the effect of interactive video tools on the development of English listening and speaking skills in a videoconferencing-based EFL context and gauge the participants' attitudes towards the interactive video tools. The study adopted a pre-test/post-test design involved applying and used two interactive tools Edpuzzle and Flipgrid in the treatment group. The results of the speaking tests demonstrated significant improvement in the speaking performance of the treatment group participants. Nonetheless, based on the results of the listening tests, there was no significant improvement in their listening skills. Finally, the findings of the survey also revealed the students’ positive attitudes towards the two video tools. en_US
