dc.description.abstract | Speaking is a primary language skill for young learners. It is a skill which is very much related to real life. However, it sometimes becomes challenging to teach speaking to young learners. Many young EFL learners have limited hours to study the language at school. Thus, there is a need for materials and techniques of teaching speaking which would be highly motivating and at the same time effective. The current project presents a course that helps primary school learners practice English speaking skills at beginning level. The developed course supplements an existing integrated skills textbook taught in a private school in Yerevan. The course was conducted after school as an English club three times a week for one hour. The number of students was eight. The piloting of the course revealed that very often techniques have a crucial role in increasing learners’ motivation. | en_US |
