dc.description.abstract | This was an action research study. Participants included in this study were 91. They were 4 English language teachers and 87 young learners. The purpose of the study was to learn about the attitude of young learners as well as their teachers’ attitudes toward learning and teaching with the help of instructional cartoons and the use of this kind of technique in the educational program. Practice shows that some educational programs have lack experience and understanding in using instructional cartoons with youngest. This issue was the main reason to write this study about instructional cartoons in young learners’ foreign language learning routine. The paper comprised both quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data was collected via semi-structured questionnaires designed to learn about learners’ attitude. The qualitative data was collected with the help of open-ended interviews and the aim was to learn about both teachers’ attitude toward using instructional cartoons in the language classroom. The results of questionnaires were analyzed through descriptive statistics. The descriptive analysis of the quantitative data showed that both young learners and their teachers had positive attitude towards the instructional cartoons. According to qualitative data collected from teachers’ instructional cartoons could be used as an efficient tool in youngest language classroom. | en_US |
