dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this research is to explore and analyze the policy of the State Israel on Diaspora issues and its applicability to the Armenian reality. The paper starts with discussing different definitions of Diaspora. Then it presents the evolution of the State-Diaspora relations in the case of Israel. The potential role of the different organizations, how they developed and how did they function. Then the paper reviews the current developments in Israel. Although there are different programs but we are focusing on three main programs: (a) Aliya and Klita (b) Youth Aliya (c) Education. The analysis of different programs in regard to organization as made as well. The paper next reviews the Armenian Case, studying the State-Diaspora relations development in the newly formed Republic of Armenia. The main objectives will be to make comparative analyses of the two cases with the aim to learn what Armenia can learn from the case of Israel. The final part of the paper focuses on findings of the research and finally presents a set of recommendation to Armenia, especially to the Ministry of Diaspora on further development of the State-Diaspora relationship. en_US
