dc.description.abstract The purpose of the project was to design a communicative course using literary texts. “Enhancing Speaking Skills through Literary Texts” is designed for EFL/ESL learners. The focus of the course is to enhance the learners’ communicative competences through literary texts, specifically short stories from different cultures and epochs. The deliverables of the course include complete lesson plans and course materials. Besides the course materials, the capstone includes reflections and recommendations on the overall piloting experience. The course was piloted in Women’s Resource Center Armenia (WRCA). It lasted seven weeks with ten classes. It was designed specifically for intermediate level adult learners. The course included eleven short stories from nine countries overall. en_US
